Commuting by MTR
Whampoa station is on the Kwun Tong Line, with no interchange needed for Mong Kok, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon Bay or Kwun Tong. For work in Kowloon East, travel along the line. For East Tsim Sha Tsui, Austin or Tsuen Wan West, change to the Tuen Ma Line at Ho Man Tin.
For Exhibition Centre or Admiralty, travel from Whampoa to Ho Man Tin, change to the Tuen Ma Line for Hung Hom, then change to the East Rail Line to cross the harbour: two interchanges in total. For Sha Tin, Tai Po and other parts of the eastern New Territories, change to the East Rail Line at Kowloon Tong. Use the MTR system map to choose an arrival station that suits your workplace.
Buses for Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, Sheung Wan and Tsuen Wan
KMB's circular route 8P runs via Whampoa to the East Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier area. Route 115 towards Central (Macau Ferry) provides a cross-harbour option for Central and Sheung Wan. KMB route 30X runs between Whampoa Garden and Allway Gardens, serving the Tsuen Wan direction.
